Purposes of the festival: strengthening friendship between peoples, spiritual enrichment and drawing of cultures close, realization of intellectual and professional potential of young people, establishment of constant collaboration between different nongovernmental and governmental organizations for raising the role of youth in building a civilized civil society.

Aims of the festival:

-         acquaintance with the culture and creativity of Ukrainian people and people of countries participants of the first International Youth Festival “The Parade of Cultures Sevastopol 2011”

-         assistance in preserving and development of national cultures

-         formation of world culture and interpersonal relations

-         assistance in forming a united informational space and establishment of positive dialogue for attracting attention of state and civil organizations, culture and art workers to the problems of youth.

-         looking for and revealing talents among youth and assisting them in different ways

-         exchange of creative experience, establishing conditions for active participation of young citizens in socio-cultural development of their countries

-         assistance in widening outlook and self comprehension of the participants, formation of positive values orientation and positive social direction, raising active life position and drawing to taking part in the solution of their own problems

-         development of full range active summer rest of the youth

-         the renaissance and development of the city of Sevastopol as international youth centre of preserving cultural heritage of Ukraine

Theatrical, dance, vocal, music instruments collectives, fashion theatres, choirs, ensembles, soloists, theatres of national costume are invited to take part in the first international youth festival “The Parade of Cultures  Sevastopol 2011”

Folklore direction, which shows national cultural heritage is given preference when choosing the participants of the festival.

Winners in different nominations of the festival become “Laureates of the Festival”, as well as get special valuable prizes.

The organizational committee will provide concert scenes, sound amplifying and light equipment. All participants of the festival can be put up in the hotels and resorts of Sevastopol and will be invited to competitions, parties, discos, “The Parade of Cultures” processions in national costumes.

Heads of the collectives will have an opportunity to take part in press conferences, and also to discuss problems of esthetical upbringing and education of youth during the “round table”.

Those who want to take part in the festival must provide informational materials about the participant to be given in the advertising and publishing materials of the festival.
